Party for the Planet April 21-22 Brevard Zoo is putting on a “Party for the Planet,” an event that promotes animal and energy conservations that is free to visitors with zoo admission. Melbourne Art Festival April 28-29 Ranked the 25th best fine art show in the nation by Sunshine Artist Magazine, the backbone of this free two-day, outdoor festival is the juried fine art show featuring more than 250 artists from around the country. Turtle Splash & Family Bash May 6 The 3rd annual turtle race and outdoor festival at Indian Harbor Beach is designed to bring the families in the community together for an afternoon of outdoor fun in the park. Race participants, families and friends enjoy outdoor contests, live music, hot food, cold drinks, clowns, face painting, moonwalks, carnival games and more. Fiesta Brevard May 11 The 3rd annual Fiesta Brevard will take place at the Holiday Inn Cocoa Beach Oceanfront Resort. It will host a competition for the best salsa recipe in the area and provide live entertainment that will spice up the night, including Latin Music, 2nd annual Fiesta Hat Parade & Contest. It will also showcase Brevard’s finest non-profit organizations. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased at the Cocoa Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.
